Mary Dawne Arden is the president of Arden Associates, a New York City firm that specializes in marketing communications.Her firm coaches individuals, and executives to prepare them for public speaking, business presentations, media interviews, and crisis management.It also provides marketing and public relations consulting.

Arden is a Communications Expert for the NBC Today Show, Weekend Edition. Fluent in four languages: Italian, Spanish, French, and English.Arden has worked with some of the world’s most respected corporations including Time Inc., New Media, NBC Broadcasting, Tiffany and Co., Clairol, Bristol Myers Squibb, General Electric, Banker’s Trust, Private Banking, Great Western Financial Co., Chase Bank, The California Senate and the United Nations.

Arden is on the faculty of New York University's Department of Culture and Communication, where she teaches cross-cultural and business communication.She is also a member of the Commission for the Arts and Humanities in Education at NYU, where she works to bring business leaders into partnership with educators to create internships for young people.

Image is Arden’s specialty.In her workshops, seminars and one-on-one coaching, Arden provides clients with the information and insight they need to communicate a precise and effective message.

Arden Associates has developed marketing, public relations, training and new product introductions for many fashion, cosmetic and consumer-product companies such as Elizabeth Arden, Clairol, Givenchy, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany and Co., May Co. California, Lanvin, Estee Lauder, Lancome and El Palaccio de Hierro, Mexico City.

Arden spent from 1992 to 1993 in Japan, where she created business-training programs that helped Japanese executives bridge the cultural, and communication differences with western managers.She was featured in an article about her work with Japanese working women in Cosmopolitan Magazine for Japan.Simul, the major supplier of translators for the G-7 and other business conferences in Japan asked her to train their translators to understand the differences between the eastern and western point of view.

Arden spent four years from 1975 to 1979 in the Caribbean and Latin America as a marketing director and general manager for Helena Rubinstein International.

Arden hosted and created fashion segments for the Channel 11 Noon News in Los Angeles California.From 1970 to 1975, she lived in Mexico City, where she taught at the modeling, self-improvement, and acting school that she created.With respected news anchor, Juan Lopez Moctezuma, she co-hosted television documentaries for Mexican Public Television and created special events for Lanvin, Paris,Manuel Mendez, Oscar De La Renta and other top designers for the leading department store El Palaccio de Hierro.Arden formed training programs for the employees of Banco de Mexico.

Arden was a film and television actor. She worked with Federico Fellini in Giulietta of the Spirits, the Director Mario Bavain Blood and Black Lace, Richard Harrison in On her Majesty’s Secret Service and Ugo Tognazzi in A Whistle from the Nose.She also performedtelevision sketches for Italian Companies known as Caroselli for Fiuggi Mineral Water, Stock 84 Brandy and Durban’s toothpaste.

Arden modeled for the runway shows and top fashion magazine photographers for some of the world’s greatest Couture Designers: Valentino, Yves St.Laurent, Christian Dior, Lancetti, Cappucci, Fabiani, Lanvin, and Karl Lagerfeld.Arden worked for and was on the cover of many major fashion magazines, including Italian Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, Mademoiselle, Bellezza, L’Art et la Mode, Novita, Cosi, Women’s Realm, Classe, and Madam.
