David Teten is CEO of Nitron Advisors, an independent research firm which provides hedge funds, venture capitalists, private equity firms, and law firms, with direct education from frontline industry experts.Nitron pays these experts to generate content specific to our clients' needs.

He was recently named a "Future HR Leader" by Human Capital magazine for Nitron Advisors' innovative use of social software and online networks for recruiting. David is the coauthor of The Virtual Handshake: Opening Doors and Closing Deals Online, the first business book about online networks and social software. He runs TheVirtualHandshake.com resource site and blog and co-writes a monthly column for FastCompany.com about online networks. He is a contributing author to Blog!: How the Newest Media Revolution is Changing Politics, Business, and Culture. David is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Word of Mouth Marketing Association.

David is a frequent public speaker on capital-raising, sales, entrepreneurship, online networks, and social software. He speaks to audiences at finance and technology industry conferences and at such universities as Columbia Business School, Princeton, the Technion, Wharton, and Yale. David has received coverage in the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, CFO, Financial Times, Red Herring, Tornado-Insider, Internet.com, and other leading publications in nine countries. Previously, he was CEO of an investment bank specializing in Internet domain names, which he built to over 450 clients.While working with Bear Stearns' Investment Banking division, David was a member of their technology/defense mergers and acquisitions team. He lived and worked in Brazil and the US while a strategy consultant with mars & co.David holds a Harvard MBA and a Yale BA.He lives in New York with his family and two laptops.
